We featured some of the blocks on our Website so everyone could see what blocks will be delivered to the store for the block-exchange at the December 2017 Bernina Club. Thank you for your participation. (You, or someone representing you, had to bring the block and be at Bernina Club December 2017 to participate in the exchange).

In November:
Holiday Projects!

Our annual staff-presented Bernina Club, showing some holiday projects and ideas.

For example:

In October:
Organizing Hints

Sudi-Laura Overstreet showed us how to organize ourselves with some quick and easy projects to make. She shared her tips and techniques with us so that we can sew up these projects in no time. We had some great discusions! Thank you for participating. It was perfect timing as the holidays fast approach us.

In September:
No Trick....

This was no trick....We wore masks and joined Ann for a spooky Halloween party for the "B" Inspired Club.

Ann helped us get into the Halloween spirit and showed how to get started on some bewitching projects.   The only thing we had to Fear was having a great time and we could check out the store's new Halloween fabrics and all the great patterns.

In August:
Revisiting: Fabric Plus Paper

We're rested from our Summer break and it was great to see everyone this week.  Ursula combined her two passions....fabric and paper.  So many beautiful gift ideas for the holidays! Totes, flowers, place-mats, cards, embroidery & so much more.

In May:
Revisiting: Photo Transfer Using Inkjet-Printable Fabric

As this topic continues to come up - and we had not directly addressed the subject in a few years - Sonja re-visited this topic, summarizing her testing of five different printable fabric products. Informative and, perhaps: Surprising! Topic was appropriate for newcomers to printable fabric and to those of you with experience. Thank you for joining us and for bringing your examples and experiences.

In April:
It Is OK to Throw Your Fabric on the Floor

You have made a beautiful quilt to decorate your room so why not add a coordinating rug? Ann showed how to use your scrap batting and leftover fabrics to complete your look.

In March:
Exploring all the Fun Ways to Strip… Strip Piecing, That is!

At our monthly B Inspired Club led by Cathy, we explored fun ways to strip… Strip piecing that is. Cozy Quilt Designs lent us their newest quilts, patterns, books and rulers and we were excited to show them to you and how easy and fast it is to put a quilt together.

In February:
NeedlePunch

Cathy showed: How easy it is to Needlepunch on your sewing machine. We learned some embellishment techniques with roving, yarns, and fabrics - and, how we can also incorporate NeedlePunch into embroidery projects.

In January:
Techniques for Creating Successful Bobbinwork

Cathy Hooper (of our staff) helped us to learn techniques for creating successful bobbinwork with a variety of decorative threads and how to use stitches, combinations and free-motion methods that will enhance any project.
